Working in one of the most volatile real-estate market places in the country, projects come and go. Bryant Commons, originally slated as an office development, was no different. Following the dot-com bust the project morphed into a residential complex. While the basic structural system could be preserved from the office plan, significant changes still needed to be made in order to build the four-story condominium complex. Degenkolb simultaneously designed the seismic strengthening of the adjacent masonry building that is being renovated to provide additional condominiums.
