Kirk’s experience includes work in new facility design, seismic evaluation, seismic retrofit, and the development of safety measures for earthquake-resilient structures. He develops cost-effective and specialized design solutions for a variety of clients. Kirk’s portfolio includes historic renovation projects, such as the Goodman Historic Library and the Camel Barn, City of Benicia. He is leading innovation in sustainable classroom design and his work with Project FROG, a green modular system for classrooms, is garnering attention around the country. Kirk’s work in preservation, restoration, seismic upgrades, and now green design are all signs of his passion for cleaner, safer, more disaster resistant communities.
Little Known Fact:
A classic car and hotrod enthusiast, he enjoys spending time working on his own classic Chevy that he is restoring himself. Whenever possible he enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors through camping and hiking.
