Renowned authority on the seismic rehabilitation of historic structures, Loring is also an authority in concrete design and construction. Enjoying more than 40 years of service to the firm, Loring not only mentors engineers just starting their careers but also continues to manage many seismic upgrade and peer review projects. He is the recipient of a lifetime achievement award, the OPAL award from ASCE, and his contributions to the structural engineering profession were recognized by his election to the National Academy of Engineering in 1990.

I enjoy world travel and spend many weeks a year in exotic and beautiful locations such as Antigua, Paris, and Italy.
