Culture:

When my husband was ill with Alzheimer’s, Degenkolb staff and management were very supportive. That’s a huge help when faced with a such an illness. But, I haven’t been the only person to be on the receiving end of support during a difficult time, it’s just part of the culture here and something I really appreciate.

Career:

Degenkolb is interested in every staff member’s professional development. Training I’ve requested has been encouraged and provided.

Passions:

For fun I’m still a stone sculptor. Less formidable but still sort of sculptural: I can bake a terrific pie, something I love to eat and share with family and friends.

On the Job:

One of the best things about my job is the bird’s eye view I have of the company’s goings on, especially in the corporate office. I enjoy the relationships built over my 14 years here not only with staff and families but clients and suppliers. I’ve stayed because I like it here.
