HONOR AWARD
Degenkolb Engineers
MSB Moffitt Separation
As prime consultant, Degenkolb Engineers employed state-of-the-art analysis techniques and designed a creative solution to retrofit this national asset. The large application of nonlinear analysis and the torsional component Degenkolb developed for the MPA procedure are break-throughs in structural engineering and the effort to build disaster resilient communities. As a result of close collaboration with the owner and sub-consultants, Degenkolb was able to provide an innovative solution that saves the University $100 million and preserves vital services to the community in the event of an earthquake.
