New Community Mapping Site from EERI

It’s been 20 years since the Loma Prieta earthquake. What has been done to reduce earthquake risk in the bay area since then? Earthquakeretrofit.org, the community mapping website launced by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), helps answer that question.

Earthquakeretrofit.org maps all of the seismic retrofits that have occured in the bay area since the Loma Prieta earthquake. Anyone can add points, which represent seismic retrofits, to the map. Homeowners, property managers, contractors, architects, engineers, or anyone willing to post his or her project can add to the site. Degenkolb Engineers is happy to share our retrofit experience through this site.
