NCSEA Cornforth Award given to David Bonneville

David Bonneville, Degenkolb senior principal, was recently named the 2009 Robert Cornforth Award recipient from the National Council of Structural Engineering Associations.

The Cornforth Award is given to an individual for exceptional dedication and exemplary service to the organization and to the profession. Nominees are submitted to the NCSEA Board by the Member Organizations. The award is given out at the discretion of the NCSEA Board.

David has more than 30 years experience in structural analysis and design involving new and existing buildings and other structures. He has been an active contributor to the seismic code development process in California and nationally. David is currently the Board Chair of the Building Seismic Safety Council, a member of the ASCE 7 Seismic Task Committee, and a member of the Seismic Code Development Committee for the Building Seismic Safety Council. He is past chair of the SEAOC Seismology Committee, Past Chair of the Code Advisory Committee for NCSEA, and Past President of SEAONC. David is Chair of the Structural Design/Lateral Forces Advisory Committee for the California Building Standards Commission.
