San Francisco (KCBS) — Earthquake engineers meeting this week in San Francisco have given the city an ominous warning.
Wide areas of the city could resemble Haiti after the next big one.
The devastating 7.0 Haitian quake has parallels San Francisco can heed.

Chris Poland, Chair and CEO of Degenkolb Engineering, a San Francisco based consulting firm says the city is embracing the thought of quick recovery after a major quake so neighborhoods can recover as soon as possible.
