The SF Business Times Healthcare Summit Breakfast
The San Francisco Business Times hosted a Healthcare Summit breakfast on July 13th in the Hilton hotel. With many great speakers and panelists, the focus of the morning was on the future of healthcare, and the impact of healthcare reform on providers and insurers. Degenkolb was a program sponsor and had a table with attendees Stacy Bartoletti, Ray Pugliesi, Robert Graff and client guests John Lewis from UCSF, Dave Alpert from HGA, and Daig O’Connell and Mohammed Dehghan from Cammisa and Wipf.
Degenkolb’s President Stacy Bartoletti’s response to the event was that “it was great to see the efforts of our local healthcare leaders helping to shape heathcare reform in the country. As 32 million Americans become insured it will be very interesting to see how our healthcare system adjusts. I found the panel discussion on the hospital of the future or perhaps more appropriately called the healthcare enterprise of the future very stimulating. The Bay Area is clearly a leader in healthcare delivery and innovation and with new projects like those discussed it will continue to hold that position.”
Other Degenkolb employees enjoyed the event on a lighter note, like Associate Principal Robert Graff, who found the event “informative and entertaining. Lloyd Dean, of Catholic Healthcare West, as always was an outstanding speaker. He expressed great optimism for the changes coming to the healthcare industry while keeping the audience engaged and even laughing out loud at a few points.”
Overall, the SF Business Times offered an informative and enjoyable event, digging deep into the issues encompassing the healthcare industry today.
