Team Degenkolb fielded 15 players in last night's contest against Thornton Tomasetti (formerly DASSE) at Lowell Field in Oakland, an indication that mid-season is upon us.
The squad started strong, posting 10 runs through 4 innings and allowing only 9 on defense. The wheels came off the bus in the 5th inning, however, with the hard hitting TT squad posting 7 runs, a deficit the Degenkolb squad ultimately could not overcome. The Degenkolb Softball Team shifted gears last night, taking on B league colleagues AECOM B at Lowell Hardball Field in Oakland. The AECOM B squad is the less-experienced counterpart to AECOM's A team.

Team Degenkolb Rises to the TdNL Challenge for Game 2

The Degenkolb Softball team matched up against a very tough opponent -- Toft deNevers & Lee -- at Lowell Hardball Field in Oakland last night. TdNL has been an A-League fixture and championship contender for 20+ years, since the early days of the league -- they have skill and wisdom on both sides of the ball -- making them a good litmus for a team's ability.
