We have a rich history of working with local, state and federal agencies on a variety of seismic, progressive collapse, and perimeter security projects. We played a major part in the standardization of ASCE-31 Seismic Evaluation of Existing Buildings and led the standardization of ASCE-41 (FEMA 356) Prestandard and Commentary for the Seismic Rehabilitation of Buildings. As part of the SAC Joint Venture Partnership, we directed all analytical and experimental research used in developing guidelines for repair and new design of steel moment-resisting frame buildings. SAC has published guidelines on how to design, inspect, evaluate, and repair steel moment frame connections.

Because we have developed federal guidelines and standards and have written many of the building codes used today, we bring our insight on the codes and standards of tomorrow to today’s projects. This ultimately results in smarter structural schemes that often save time and money.
